Cindy Kushner is a
Tax Partner in the KPMG Fort Lauderdale Tax
Practice. Cindy has more than 20 years of
experience in serving a wide variety of clients
in the public and private sector as a trusted
tax and business advisor. She specializes in
business and tax strategy planning, tax
provision reviews, FIN 48, and SOX 404 services,
tax risk minimization planning, domestic and
international tax planning, and tax compliance.
Experience with reviewing and enhancing controls
and processes around the income tax provision
and indirect taxes, tax attribute analysis, debt
/equity analysis, tax reorganization planning,
and fixed asset analysis.
Cindy
serves on the Strategic Relationship Committee
of KPMG Women’s Advisory Board, and co-chairs
the KPMG Network of Women committee in South
Florida. The Women’s Advisory Board (WAB) was
formed in 2003 to help improve the retention
rates of women and promote the advancement of a
diverse spectrum of women into our partnership
as well as into leadership and management group
positions through a combination of national and
local initiatives.
Cindy is very active
in the community and in 1999 founded Women
Executive Leadership (WEL), whose primary
purpose is to increase the number of women
serving on corporate boards ; and is an officer
and director on the InterOrganization (ION)
Board of which WEL is a member. She also serves
as a director on the board of TBE, and serves on
the advisory board of the National Association
of Corporate Directors (NACD) Florida Chapter;
is a Women of Tomorrow Mentor for Cooper City
High School (20 students); a member of the
AICPA; FICPA; serves on the FICPA Mobility Task
Force; and a former Board of Director of Florida
Venture Forum, former VP and treasurer of
Diabetes Research Institute
Foundation-Ambassadors and Past Executive member
of the State of Israel Bonds Committee.
