Ruth V. Brophy is Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for H.I.G. Capital, a leading private equity firm based in Miami, Florida. H.I.G. currently manages many LBO Funds, Venture Capital Funds, a Distressed Debt Fund and a Public Securities Fund with a total assets under management of more than $3 billion.

Prior to HIG Capital, Ruth was CEO for an international publishing company for twelve years. Previously, Ruth worked for an international public accounting and consulting firm for ten years servicing clients in the Fortune 500 and private sector.

Ruth is a CPA and a graduate of Fairfield University, MS Finance and BS Accounting.

She has served as a member of the Fairfield University, Dolan School of Business Advisory Council, mentored several women in leadership roles through the Women-Unlimited national organization and served on the Board of Directors for many not-for-profit organizations.
