Charlotte Laurent-Ottomane

A native of Atlanta, Georgia and currently based in South Florida, Charlotte Laurent-Ottomane has 20+ years international and domestic senior management experience with mega cap (revenue range of $2 to $30 billion) industrial and hi tech companies that manufacture telecommunications equipment, gas turbines, nuclear energy, and high speed trains. As a recognized "Financial Expert", she has expertise in company re-organization and restructuring, crisis communication, regulatory obligations, and senior management/board of directors strategic advising.
Based in Europe for more than ten years and in the U.S. during the past eight, she helped transform a French conglomerate (now called Alcatel-Lucent) into a worldwide technology leader. In addition to leading many strategic Task Force Committees throughout the company's transformation, which included disposals, mergers, acquisitions and major restructuring efforts, Charlotte has been the company's primary liaison with the capital markets. Two IPOs have been successfully completed under her direction, listing stock both on the NYSE and NASDAQ.
As a member of the Executive Committee of a high profile optical component manufacturing company, Charlotte was part of the team that developed and implemented financial strategies, and she was the primary spokesperson who communicated the company's financial results. Some of the initiatives included across-the-board cost cutting programs and other actions that had a direct effect on the company's profit and loss, both short term and as long term strategies.
Charlotte founded Nvestcom at the beginning of 2007. The firm provides strategic counsel to public companies across all industries, primarily focusing on financial strategies and resulting communication. As President, she leads a team of financial analysts who act as day to day strategists for clients based on correlating industry knowledge and experience. In addition to providing on-going Investor Relations services, Nvestcom specializes in partnering with companies as strategic decisions are made regarding M&A transactions, capital raising, crisis management, and relationship building with their analyst/investor audience.
Charlotte serves on the boards of FAU (Florida Atlantic University) School of Business, ION (InterOrganization Network), and WEL (Women Executive Leadership). Her professional publications include "Earnings - Navigating in Choppy Waters" (Financial Executive Magazine, June 2008) and "Earnings Season is around the corner: It's all about Managing Expectations", Financial Executives International, January 2008. She is a guest speaker on Investor Relations at FAU and has lectured at NIRI (National Investor Relations Institute) national conventions. She holds a BA degree from Georgia State University and an MBA from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris.
