Lauren E. Smith is Managing Director in the Miami office of Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson, the world's sixth largest retained executive search firm. She conducts searches for both executives and board of directors. Lauren began her search career with the Egon Zehnder International in 2000. Before moving into executive search, Lauren served in senior marketing and strategy positions Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Motorola.
Lauren has lived and worked in Europe and Latin America and is fluent in Spanish. She has a BS from the Pennsylvania State University and a MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Lauren has been a guest lecturer at Nova South Eastern University. She has also been quoted as an expert on Executive and Board recruiting in Entrepreneur Magazine, American Way Magazine, the Miami Herald and South Florida CEO Magazine. She is a founder and is on the Advisory Board of the National Association of Corporate Directors Florida Chapter, a Board of Directors Member, Trustee and past Chair of Chairman's Circle of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Board of Governors for the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business & Entrepreneurship, Nova Southeastern University.
