Ruth Brophy
Advisory Council Member
Ruth Brophy is Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for H.I.G. Capital, a leading private equity firm, based in Miami, Florida. H.I.G. currently manages many LBO, Venture Capital, Distressed Debt, and Public Securities Investment Funds with total assets under management of more than $7 billion.
Prior to working at H.I.G. Capital, Ruth was Chief Financial Officer for an international publishing company, Harris Connect, for 12 years. Before joining H.I.G. Capital, Ruth spent 10 years as an Audit and Consulting Manager for a global public accounting and consulting firm servicing clients that are in the Fortune 500 and Middle Market Private Companies.
Ruth is a CPA and a graduate of Fairfield University with an MS Finance and BS Accounting.
She has served as a member of the Fairfield University Dolan School of Business Advisory Council and mentored several women executives during their leadership roles through the national organization, Women-Unlimited. Throughout her career, she has also served on the Boards of Directors for many not-for-profit organizations.
