Ms. D’An presented the 2006 Florida Census of Women Directors and Executive Officers, a census report compiled by Women Executive Leadership in collaboration with the University of Miami. According to the 2006 Census, 21 Florida public companies have two or more female directors on their Boards of Directors, each of which was individually recognized and awarded for this achievement at the 2006 Corporate Salute.
Ms. Follit presented her experiences as a corporate executive and a member of the Board of Directors of several public companies. With a great sense of humor and humility, Ms. Follit captured the attention of the program participants by sharing her valuable insights gleaned from service on a public company Audit Committee, leading organizations through challenging times, and balancing the personal and professional demands faced by most women in the executive ranks.
